White City Community Plant Swap

This is an event for garden enthusiasts who live in the White City area and beyond. Let’s get together to share our plants with our neighbors and make White City even more beautiful! All plant types are welcome, from indoor plants, edible plants, exotic plants and native species. Please do not bring anything that is considered invasive (A list will be posted on Facebook page of invasive species).

The event date is September 26th, 2019 from 9:00am – 12:00pm and will be held at Big Bear Park in White City. The first hour of the sale will be dedicated to those who have plants to trade and the following two hours will be for open trading.

Rules for the plant swap for the first hour:

1. Receive one ticket for each healthy potted plant or rooted cutting that you bring to the swap. (Please clearly label each plant. It is optional to provide care instructions.)
2. Trade tickets in for plants! (Always ask before taking, some plants may already have homes.)
3. Enjoy your new friends (Both the planted ones and the people)!

Rules for the plant swap for the second two hours:

1. Request plant material from anyone with extra plants. If you have extra plants, be kind and share your plants and knowledge with those looking for new plants.
2. Have fun!

• Instructional videos/web pages on transplanting will be posted on page as
  well as discussions about plant species
  that people have and are willing to share.
  Requests can be made for specific plant
  species in order to connect the seeker
  with a potential owner of the specified
  plant.
• Plant pots can be supplied upon request.
